Syndicate Falls, also known as Milton Falls, sits in the forest of Syndicate, in the north west of Dominica, below Morne Diablotin (1,447 m / 4,747 ft). The area borders Morne Diablotin National Park, home to the island’s two endemic parrots.
A short walk downhill, with a few river crossings, brings you to the falls, which drop about 100 feet into a rock pool. Take a dip, sit on the rocks and enjoy the sound of the forest.
LITTLE ZION AT SYNDICATE FALLS
Little Zion is our agro tourism experience at Syndicate Falls. Come for the waterfall, stay for the café and a guided walk through the gardens and forest.
Walk through the rainforest to the falls and take a dip in the rock pool. No tour needed, just come along.
Relax at our café before or after your visit with local refreshments.
Small group tours with a local guide. Up to 10 guests per tour.
About a mile out and back, mostly downhill, with river crossings along the way.
A waterfall of about 100 feet dropping into a cool plunge pool you can swim in.
Look out for the Sisserou, Dominica’s national bird, and the Jaco parrot.
Make a day of it on the Syndicate Nature Trail, a gentle loop of about 1.6 km through mature rainforest, with footbridges, viewing platforms and a view toward the Caribbean Sea. Early morning is the best time to spot parrots.
Syndicate is about 25 minutes by car from Portsmouth and about 1.5 hours from Roseau. The last stretch runs into the rainforest.
Safety: rocks are wet and slippery, and the river can rise quickly after heavy rain. Check conditions before you go.
Book a guided tour or just come for the waterfall. Tours are limited to 10 guests.
